My Morning Paper – February 24, 2015 – Their Own Worst Enemy

In the realms of stuff that you just cannot make up, the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) continues to show just why they are their own worst enemy. They do this by continuously creating situations to distract from their failings and alleged misdeeds only to highlight these actual failings and misdeeds.
At this time the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) is highlighting the following article as being reported by Eyewitness News; “Billionaire Bacon Linked to Nygard sex trafficking lawsuit”
Excerpt from this article; “NASSAU, BAHAMAS, Lyford Cay billionaire has defended his role in the federal class action lawsuit accusing his neighbor and longtime rival Peter Nygard of sex trafficking in The Bahamas.
A New York Times article, “Has a Neighbor’s Feud in Paradise Launched on International Rape Case’, reveals that the lawyers and investigators attached to the federal lawsuit were funded in part by Bacon.”
Of course the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) has already come to the “logical conclusion” that if Louis Bacon funded “lawyers and investigators attached to the federal lawsuit” and had funded the Free National Movement (FNM) during the last election, then it only stands to reason that the FNM is complicit in or actually behind the lawsuit. So let’s apply this trend of “logic” and “reasoning” to another part of the Nygard lawsuit; since it can be concluded that Peter Nygard funded the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) during the last election then there MUST be some truth behind the sex trafficking and sex slave allegations as laid out in the lawsuit which names the leader of the opposition as being complicit in some of these nefarious acts; right?

nygard

Now many are going to read this and label it as pure asinine ramblings but these very persons must realize and concede that it follows the very same “logic” and “reasoning” of the allegations of the FNM being behind the lawsuit being brought against Peter Nygard, as these allegations are based solely on the premise of Louis Bacon being a major contributor to Free National Movement (FNM) Party.
The Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) continues to be its very own worst enemy, as it takes something written in the New York Times, which makes no mention of the FNM but names the PLP and some of its members by names as being accomplices to these acts of sex trafficking and slavery and tries to contort it to now suggest that the Free National Movement government was behind it all.
The PLP goes from one version of events, where the allegations are total lies to this, “Davis further suggested the claims that party members were bribed with sex with under aged girls and cash, contained in the federal complaint files last week, were perpetrated by Free National Movement surrogates.” Here it is alleged that they were all fabricated by the FNM though a federal lawsuit issued in a court in the United States to incriminate the leader of the opposition through the incrimination of Peter Nygard; but I guess these two things are the same, both suggesting that the PLP as an innocent as a new born baby with the evil and wicked FNM looking to ‘sacrifice’ it.
Both being the sick and perverted imagings of a political organization that as long lost its way.
The Progressive Liberal Party fails for one reason, it is their nature.

My Morning Paper –February 11, 2020 – The New, New, New, [New] PLP

“Davis launces election bid at rally” – The Nassau Guardian
Except from this article; “Touting the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) as repaired and a unified one, PLP leader Philip Brave Davis last night launched his election campaign.
‘The SS PLP is off the reef,’ he said at Columbus Primary School.
‘Its hull is repaired. It is strong and seaworthy,’
‘We’re on board to do the peoples work, and it’s all hands on deck with a singular mission.’

‘A unified party ready to serve the Bahamian people.”

So it would appear that the Hon. Philip ‘Brave’ Davis has finally admitted to the fact that the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP) is a broken party, although he would claim that it is now repaired; but as to how it came to be broken is subject to much debate.
To listen to Mr. Davis, the party became a broken vessel at the last general elections but many may beg to differ as to when it became broken and as Mr. Davis attempts to move past this discussion of what he calls the “SS PLP”; is he willing to admit how it got ‘broken’ and run aground and is he willing to accept any responsibility for its crippled stated?
Mr. Davis has spent the better part of two and half years in opposition, walking a fine line; while trying to convince the country that he would be a good candidate for prime minister, he can’t seem to get into the details of how and why the PLP lost the last election in such grand manner with him as deputy leader of the PLP and as the deputy prime minister.
He would also need for the present new, new, new [new] PLP to make atonement for its past mistakes which led to such a devastating defeat and acknowledge the role he played in bringing that defeat about.
But at this time he seems to be attempting to distance himself from this defeat and anything that may have caused it, trying to make himself seem new but he can’t as he is tied to the disaster that was the PLP’s election defeat.
So he deflects and hopes that no one remembers how he got to where he is right now.
Can anything that he say about a new, new, [new] PLP be trusted?
