I have agreed to not to be rough on the Progressive Liberal Party’s (PLP) chairman, Senator Fred Mitchell, unless he says something ‘stupid’ and true to form he has come out with both barrels blazing.

“Chairman Mitchell comes out fighting” – The Tribune 27 Oct 2017
Excerpt from this article; “NEWLY elected Progressive Liberal Party Chairman Fred Mitchell has committed to meeting the governing Free National Movement ‘at every corner and on every street’ as [the] opposition party recommits to recapturing an election victory in 2022.
In a statement released after he was declared the winner of the PLP’s chairman race that the PLP’s 53rd annual convention, Mr. Mitchell served notice to the FNM and its Chairman Carl Culmer that they should conduct themselves in a certain manner and use language ‘at the level which matches their roles in the country and not down in the gutter’.”
Exactly what has Senator/Chairman Mitchell come out fighting against and when he speaks to using ‘language at their level which matches their roles in the country’, does this mean not referring to others as ‘niggas’?
Who is Senator/Chairman Fred Mitchell to caution anyone about the use of ‘ghetto politics’? Is this the very same person who threatened the Free National Movement (FNM) government that they will understand that they will understand what ‘tit-for-tat’ means if and/or when the Progressive Liberal Party was to win the government in 2022? And all for bringing a campaign promise to bring wrong-doers elected to office to justice?
If one were to follow the political path of Senator/Chairman Fred Mitchell to this point, they would then caution him about speaking to others of ‘gutter politics, since this seems to have been one of the major political strategies of his at one point or another.
It is indeed interesting knowing Senator/Chairman’s Mitchells colorful political past that the Progressive Liberal Party still saw fit to elect him as their chairman but what will be more interesting will be to see how long the party will tolerate him as chairman.
The Progressive Liberal Party fails for one reason, it is their nature.
